I am glad to finally get in touch with the Land Rover people in Spain. We, SLRK, www.slrk.org tried to get in touch with you last year, in order to invite you to our 20 year anniversary - no success.

I’ve tried once before, a few years earlier when I was one week in Spain - same result.

I'll keep in contact and keep you informed how my adventure proceeds.

In case I get a problem in el Boalo when I'll collect the Range Rover Sunday afternoon, April 27, - is there someone in the vicinity I can call??

Hello Krister, my name is Enrique, and I am a member of the Spanish Land Rover club.
I understand your situation, and I would like to help you, but I live quite far from Madrid right now, I live in Santander, about 400 km far from Madrid in the north of Spain.
I don´t know wich way will you take to get to England, but in case you are near Santander you can call me and I would meet you if I can, I don´t know if you know there´s a ferry of Britany Ferries Company that takes you to Plymouth (South of England) from Santander port, I think the ship goes to England every tuesday and comes here every thursday, it may help you.

Well, anyway, I hope you have luck with your visit to Spain, and yet you know I can help you if you are near my province.

Pues no se si no me entretiene mucho tiempo no me importa acompañarle, lo único es que yo de ranger rover no tengo ni idea ( ni de disco ni defender y eso que tengo unos) e igual no soy el más indicado, el ingles lo tengo un poco oxidado, pues no se si no sale otro más chaneti en estos temas.

Could you give us more information about your planning? When do you arrive to Madrid? Are you going by Airplaine or other way? Do you have the RR’s address? Have you taken in account if the RR is in legal situation (documents, insurance)?

Well, in general a bit more of information and what do you need more precisely:

Someone with mechanical knowledge about RR
Someone who can drive you through Madrid
Anything else?

I am arriving in Madrid Sunday April 27 at 12.00 with flight JK 052, Spanair.
From the airport I intend to take a taxi to El Boalo, where the car is and from there straight away northwards following the rout viaMichelin has recommended and my TomTom GPS takes me.

All the legal documents are in order.

In case the car starts and seems OK I might not need any help, but if it doesn’t I might definitely need help.

Very nice of you to offer a ride to the car and if you are close and have nothing important to do it would be most appreciated!

Sorry but I am living a bit far away from Madrid, in addition I do not know too much about Range Rover. What I am doing is collecting some information so maybe there is some member of the club that can help you. I am going to translate it to Spanish and will see:

A ver gente, Krister dijo:

Llego a Madrid el Domigo 27 a las 12:00 con el vuelo JK 052 de Spanair. Desde el aeropuerto intentará coger un taxi a EL BOALO donde se encuentra el RR, y desde allí conducirÉ hacia el norte siguiendo guia Michelin y TomTom.

El RR tiene toda su documentación para circular.

Dice que si el coche arranca y todo parece bien no necesitará más ayuda, pero que si no, entonces si necesitaría algún entendido en este modelo.

Queda dicho, por si alguno por los Madriles puede ayudar.

Y digo yo, en menudo fregao se ha metido éste si viene sin saber como está el coche y más si quiere irse con el a Inglaterra (aquí al lado vamos). Y para colmo en Domingo, por si tuviera que comprar algún recambio. Nada, si es que la fiebre por los Landys es internacional
